Events

Ovcar Spa has been visited by different kind of tourists. Some of them are travellers to Adriatic See, and they are coming for rest, refresh and overnight sleeping. Organized groups and excursions visit monasteries, so from the end of April to the beginning of June beside river babbling also can be horn child barbling. During summer, days of cultures are organized. Painters, actors, writers, cultural societies and chores are making days in Ovcar Spa more fulfilled, richer and happier. Traditional painters’ colony attracts painters, sculptors and icon painters, which are making their works of art in piece and harmony oasis.        

International swimming marathon, which takes place on 2^nd August, is the central event of hole-day cultural, artistic and sports programme. September is reserved for Big Mountain Race on relation Cacak – Ovcar Spa, with more than thousand participants in different categories: marathon, biking and recreation.

In the vicinity of Ovcar Spa, famous manifestations are being held: Flutists’ Fair in Prislonica (July, 30 km), Trumpets’ Fair in Guca (August, 25 km) and Cabbage Fair (September, 30 km). Mountains Zlatibor, Tara and Mokra Gora are 60 km far away. Through cooperation of Tourist Association of Cacak and Serbian Railways, travel by tourist train “Romantika” will be organized on relation Belgrade – Ovcar Spa – Belgrade. These one-day excursions are planned to attract more tourists to the beauties of Ovcar Spa and encourage them to spend their free time in this area.
