In the central part of Serbia, 150 km far from Belgrade, Ovcar-Kablar Gorge is situated. It is a natural sight of remarkable characteristics, the first class treasure, and it is under protection of the state. Gorge has been formed by the river Zapadna Morava, that flows and makes windy meanders at the foot of poetic mountains Ovcar (985m) and Kablar (890m). Infinite greenness of the surrounding forests, the healthy thermal water (37,5° C), richness of flora and fauna, two artificial lakes, neat mountain paths and above all spirituality of this Serbian Holy Mountain attracts tourists of different interests.         

In the centre of Ovcar-Kablar Gorge (Cacak – Uzice road), 18 km from Cacak, is situated Ovcar Spa on the 278 m height above the sea level. It was mentioned in itinenary of Evliya Celebi, as a summer-months meeting place, where people used to trade, rest and „take a bath“ in the healthy thermal waters.

Ovcar Spa has mild climate, beautiful landscapes and plenty of thermal water. Medical indications refer to the cure of rheumatism, sport injuries and degenerative changes (spondilosis and arthritis).

Beside river Zapadna Morava that flows through Ovcar Spa, there is also a water channel from hydrocental, so summer heats are being easier stood.

Nearness of all monasteries and sanctuaries makes Ovcar Spa very suitable for believers and all worshippers of history, tradition and culture. Main road, that passed through Ovcar Spa, was dislocated after tunnel building, so today we have fresh air, fulfilled with bloomed nature smells, river babbles and bird twitters.
